One year into pandemic parenting and with Spring in the air, I think we’re all in need of some fresh new ideas!
Are you feeling exhausted coming up with ideas to keep kids engaged? I know I am. Unfortunately our daughter hasn’t been able to play with her friends or go to school during the entire pandemic, which has been difficult to say the very least. On top of a busy work schedule and everyday parenting, I too have become her teacher and best bud...definitely not the plan I had in mind for 2020.
It takes a village they say, so here it goes. I’ve decided to write a weekly Pandemic Parenting Post (PPP) to share ideas and I’m hoping others will share their ideas as well. I know I could definitely use some more!
I’ll post about fun & educational activities, virtual party planning, crafts, sensory play and anything else that I can think of to help. Do you think these topics would be helpful or do you have suggestions for others?
I’ll be posting on my business Facebook & Instagram every Wednesday @wheeworks. The PPP design will be used on all posts, so you can easily locate them. Recently I’ve shared some really great children’s books and yummy treats we love too.
I’ll also be posting a weekly Local & Canadian Business Spotlight, sharing awesome things we’ve purchased. We love these businesses and can’t wait to shower them with some extra love!
Here is the inspo for the PPP design...for those who are interested in that sort of thing:
I used the Pantone colours of the year, Ultimate Gray & Illuminating Yellow.
Pantone describes them as: “A marriage of color conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting.”
I used the shades of grey on the side, as I thought the meaning was also fitting of the times:
- refers to a situation where things are not really clear
- when things are vague or have very sketchy details
- a state of uncertainty where things are ambiguous
Even though there are a lot of unknowns and uncertainty, I know we can work together to make an even brighter future!
Ok, that’s all for now. Looking forward to sharing the first official PPP next week.
