Earth Day Mouse House: Part 1

Earth Day Mouse House: Part 1

Earth Day Mouse House: Part 1

Once upon a time lived a mama mouse...who loved to knit, while sitting on an up-cycled sweater couch.

As she sat quietly, with a thimble full of flowers beside her—she could hear the squeaks of her family all throughout the house.  After knitting...she would always enjoy a cup of tea, rest her feet on a vintage pincushion ottoman and daydream of her next knitting project.

Later that day, the family would gather at their spool and button table & chairs—for some yummy homemade cuisine.  To be continued...

Last year our Earth Day project started with a vintage sewing basket that we no longer needed and some homeless mice.  With that in mind, we decided to make them a home of their own.  Of course it only seemed fitting to adorn it with sewing notions and textiles, after all they would be living in a sewing basket.

For this project, we wanted to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  We only used items found in our home and were able to recycle all of our scraps too, making this a zero-waste project.
